I installed Ad-aware 6 yesterday - a new update is available today.Yesterday 136 objects were removed - today 13 new objects were found.Of the 13 new objects found I recognised 2 from yesterday, so I put them on the ignore list as they were low risk anyway. One of them is:Alexa RegKey Data Miner HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE:SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\ExtensionsCan anyone tell me what this is?
of Internet Explorer and it is okay to delete.
JoeC is correct - it's Bill spying on you!
Templar1961, Many thanks.
I thought I deleted it yesterday?Does it restore itself?
Templar1961 you said "I put them on the ignore list as they were low risk anyway. One of them is: Alexa RegKey Data Miner HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE:SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions "That's why it's still there.
I put them on the ignore list today - thinking that I had removed them yesterday - on the basis that if they were going to restore themselves why bother to continually delete them?
Ran AdAware 5.83 yesterday - 2 objects found.Installed AdAware 6 last night - 139 objects found.
Is it safe to remove anything Adaware picks up?
