Acronis, What's in the Box??

  golfpro 13:00 11 Apr 2005

I am about to order the Acronis True Image 8.0 package, can someone tell me if there is something extra included in the box that is not in the download. Or has every one gone the download route?

Hiya, the box contains the disc and bits of paper. Nothing extra really.

By the way, can I ask where you're lokoing to get this from? Amazon have it at a good price, and I ordered it recently.

The above link takes you to the amazon page for Acronis True Image v8, and the price is £16.97 (naturally I brought it 2 months ago when it was £29.99, DOH, still worth it).

I looked on the Amazon UK web site but the True Image 8.0 program (16.97 pounds) listed there was only for Windows ME/98/ and 2000, I am running XP home.

If you click on the System Requirements link (just under the picture of the box on the link I gave you), you will find that it lists Windows XP/ME/2000/NT/98/95.

Hope this helps.

I have Acronis TrueImage 8, build 763, on all (16) of my computers each of which runs Win XP Pro.

Thanks a lot, have ordered, hope now that nothing goes wrong with the installation of the external H/D drive.
