How to gain entry to a Acronis Image to get at files.

Answer is Start Windows Explorer. You can do this by Pressing Win Key+E the Right click the Acronis Image and choose Explore, It will give a temporary letter to the drive and will mount the Image like a Explorer Drive. After you have got the file or files from the Image, Right click the Drive Letter and choose Unplug

Thanks for the info woodchip.

Can I ask, when I make an image I'm asked if I want to make notes to help me identify the correct image. I do this each time but I haven't yet found a way of viewing the notes prior to a restore.

The notes are seen when you choose a Image in Recover, and before you do recover from the Image. So that if it's the wrong Image you can choose another one

If you use Acronis secure zone then you need to get in from "Explore image" in Acronis, then use the "unplug" feature when finished.

Acronis drivers have to be loaded on the Hard Drive for the above to work. It should show in Device Manager
