Strange - you can launch Acrobat Reader manually, but without an explanation for your trouble, I would try downloading the manual first, and then specify the file after you have opened Reader.

Have you tried Diemmess suggestion of saving to your hard drive and opening from there? The answer as to whether that works may help to diagnose your problem.

Hi, If you have been trying to download a PDF file and launch it in to Adobe when using Internet Explorer and you have recently updated IE then you will need to re-install Adobe.
Adobe installs plug-ins into Internet Explorer so that it can operate within it but if you update IE then this removes the plug-ins from IE.
The plug-ins will have to be inserted into IE by reinstalling Adobe.
Hope this helps.

You need to remove Acrobat then reinstall from a CD

IE as lost it's link to Acrobat. A IE repair may work from click here

but i would try a reinstall of acrobat first

I had the same problem, I deleted Acrobat (6)? and went to Acrobat 4, no problems.
