Acrobat Reader 7.0 File Folder on Desk Top

When I start up my PC (Windows XP) The Acrobat Reader File Folder is always present on my Desktop and I have to X it out to get rid of it. I have been unable to find a way to stop it appearing in the first place.

Simplest solution for this is to uninstall Adobe Reader 7 from add/remove programs - Version 8 can be downloaded and installed from click here.

However I would recommend PDF X-Change Viewer as an alternative. It has more features and a much smaller footprint. I no longer use Adobe Reader on any of my machines.

If you do stick with Adobe make sure you delete the Quickstart from your Start Folder.
