I've been given the task of of trying to get past a boot-up BIOS password, because the idiot whose laptop it is, thought it would be a good security move, then hasn't used the machine for sometime and now can't remeber the password!!
The laptop is a 9301 and I believe that Acer may use a security bios chip (I think it's called a TPM)
I don't know if there is a backdoor password? (Any wizzes out there?), or tech specialists in the UK who can change the chip?
