Is it possible to access a pen drive from DOS. I have seen pen drives that claim to be bootable but the one that I have got is not accessible from DOS, is there some way of being able to use it in DOS.

To be bootable you would need a BIOS that supports USB booting.

DOS drivers for USB can be had - click here=

most BIOs support usb bootingas standard. to enter your bios setup, when your pc starts starting up, it should say something like "to enter setup press f2"

the key name may be different.

anyway press that key and itll load

(if it doesnt give that to eneter setup message, try these keys : f2 del f8 f10)

anyway, once youre in setup, in one of the tabs there is boot preferences, select that, in somewhere i nthere there will eb an option to preloadusb devices (it says something like "not needed if your operating system is plug and play")

be absolutely certain before you make the change though
