8 Meg Broadband

  MIKE. 10:26 04 Apr 2006

I am currently using BT 2 Meg as my broadband provider an was looking to upgrade to 8 meg in early April. On making enquires I was told by upgrading to 8 Meg I would in effect be taking out a new 12 month contract. Has anyone else been told the same or am I being told porkies by BT

While the faster broadband speeds will be available to service providers for new orders from March 31, 2006, it will take several months to regrade the total existing end user customer base that service providers wish to be regraded to ADSL Max services.

I wouldn't get too excited 8 meg yes but only if your phone line can support it, but any free upgrade is a bonus whatever linespeed you eventually acheive and most of the top ISPs seem to be doing the same.
I'm with virgin and have just received the same offer..
