5mbps connection running in BYTES ;-O?

  Gaz 25 19:36 12 Jul 2004

My what is normally fast 5mbps connection is running in bytes at the moment.

Tried spyware, virus scanners. Not to forget it found one rechid CWS trojan - OSLOGO one - exmplains my slowness....

However I have removed it - and oddly enough I have no bootconf.exe so dont know why there is a problem but anyway CWShredder removed it.

But loading pages or downloading is SLOWWW... and it seems to be after a Symantec Redirector update. ;-o

Strange, I have contacted my ISP and they say that they have tested the line to and from my PC and it is working as fast as possible for that connection.

So don't know what I can do, any ideas?

Can you do a system restore to before the norton update if you have XP / Me?

Got my suspicions that it is Norton.

Gaz 25,
got so much hassle with the norton collection after installing sp2 rc2, that I ended up re-formatting and changed to Mcafee.

is ok....

becuase its on the same network, but outside pages are slow.

Must be a problem at their end.

Tried PC with NO Norton on it and the Internet is still slow.

However people requesting my server from the net dont have any problems.
