When I Install 512MB Of DDR Ram My Computer Will Not Work.It Works Fine On 256MB Of SD Ram.The Motherboard Is A ECS K7S5A And It Should Take 1024MB According To The Manual.I Have To Work Now So I Wll Check For Responses Later. I Returned A 512 MB Module Before As I Thought It Was Faulty But The Replacement Is The Same. Thanks

Check the memory selector here click here to make sure that you have brought memory compatable with your motherboard.

The Ram is PC1600 or PC2100 isn't it as the board will not support higher (PC2700, PC3200)

I put the ram module in a differnet slot on my mobo, may work for you worth a try I think.

Run this test it might be a problem with your motherboard click here

What os are you using, as there is a limit on how much memory win 98/me can address, 384 I believe is the max, depending on your system.
Win 2000 and xp are much better at addressing more memory.
