Is 32 bit Emulation available on 64 bit OS

Looking at the PC systems in the back of the magazine with a view to purchasing one I notice that they mainly seem come with Vista 64. I have a lot of software (Drawing, Video Editing, Photo Editing etc.) that is 32 bit. Is there an emulation facility in Vista 64 that will allow this software to run properly or should I request Vista 32? I am looking at 64 for the memory capacity when I upgrade these programmes to 64 bit versions.

Thanks
