Could some one give me a view on
Does it work?
Can I keep my present server and only use the above when traveling with my lap top?
Is it expensive to operate
The Dongle is free apart from the postage but is any thing really free?

The dongle itself is free, but to use it you have to purchase a top-up, like you would do for your mobile. so, as you say, its not really free.

Thanks for comments
Is there a minimum cost for the top up.
Does the top up have to be used in a certain period?

Minimum cost of a top up is £10, which allows the transfer of up to 1GB of data and is valid for 30 days. Any unused portion of the 1GB is lost at the end of the 30 days.

I don't know what it is like in your area, my son has contract one with his netbook and connection can be a bit of a problem at times (Portsmouth Area)

Thanks for all your comments.
I am sometimes away for a month so I expect that £10 might be worth investing
But I expect ,as Strawballs says, it would all depend on reception.
Thank you

Hi, a mate of mine also uses one with his main laptop and with his notebook, both work quite well when he is at my home - Southsea!
