2nd hard drive for my son. Possible?

I have windows xp, o/p . Also hard disk with 80GBs,. I recently bought a 256GB H/D so that my son could use that. Problem is, can I keep my O/P system, totally seperate for myself,& keep his totally seperate.......In other words, is it possible to keep the two seperate. I have'nt ``````installed the new drive yet? Any help gratefuffy received. Thanks, John.`

Yes you can install two copies on two different disks via the advanced install routine - then at bootup choose the one you want (and you can even name them as you want).

Oh, and first of all, install the disk as a slave.

Add the second HDD as slave and then lock him out of the master using group policy.

Hide and lock any drive you want in group policy.
This is done on the client machines.
Open up group policy (gpedit.msc), User Configuration >Administrative Templates>Windows Components>Windows Explorer.
The two policies are about a quarter of the way, down the page.
