I AM CURRENTLY BUILDING A COMPUTER AND HAVE HIT A PROBLEM. I AM UNSURE AS TO WHETHER GET A 256 GRAPHICS CARD OR A 128. I HAVE SEEN 128s FOR ABOUT £90 AND SOME 256s FOR approx. £60.IT MAY BE A STUPID QUESTION, BUT WHICH IS BETTER.PS. CAN YOU RECCOMEND A GOOD BUDGET GRAPHICS CARD FOR A HOME PC AT A PRICE OF AROUND £50-70. thxHADDIK
256MB should generally be better. The price difference may be down to whether it's a PCI-E card or AGP.
MY MOTHERBOARD IS ANASRock K8NF4G-SATA2CAN IT SUPPORT EITHER, AND WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE, ALSO WHICH WOULD BE BEST
click hereappears to be pci express
Your board supports PCIe graphics cards only.Though it already has its own integrated graphics on he board already. Mind you, pretty much any dedicated graphics card is going to be better.About the best you will get in that price range would be something like a 6600GT, though you would probably be looking at a 128MB version. A 256MB version would be around £120. Try having a look at a site like click here to give you an idea of price. In that price range I would just pick something you fancy.
THANKS FOR THE HELP. I SHALL BUY A PCI CARD SOON. PS. THE WEBSITES WERE HELPFUL.
PLEASE DON'T USE CAPITALS - ITS SHOUTING!
Make sure it's PCI-EXPRESS and not just a PCI card - there's quite a huge difference!
