2 hard drives to os sytems

got two hard drives one set as slave one as master .slave has win 98 and the master xp .problem is i dont seem to be able to swop between them could this have somthing to do with the start up bios .and if so how do i get to them

Don't both of the operating systems need to be on the master drive

Were the two O/S installed as separate entities or were they installed whilst in the master and slave mode.Because if the installation was done separately and then arranged as master and slave,I don't think you can select which one to boot too.You need to install one of the systems whilst it is in the master &slave mode, WinXP has a built in Boot Manager which allows you to choose which drive to boot to.

To have the choice of which os to startup you will have to go into the bios and change the boot sequence ie ide0 ide1 etc
