2 drives or 1

Hi I have just got into flight sims ( FS 2004 )and my question is would I see better performance if said software was on in it's own dedicated HD.
Running XP Pro on an Asus M2a-vm-hdmi board with an AMD 5200 dual core cpu ,hard drive is a Samsung 120gb sata 2.My graphics card is a Radeon 2350 64mb I know its nowhere good enough but that is being addressed. Thanks in advance.

You might have some luck if you used 2 drives in a raid config, but only for load times really. However personally I would go and get a more powerful graphics card and save on the money front to give yourself a bit more firepower for graphics as FS04 looks very nice on a powerful card.

2 drives would more help load times than it would in terms of performance on screen.

No, I don't think performance would be affected by having it on a separate drive. I too have FSX(DeLuxe) and it is on a separate drive, but only because all my games are on that drive, kept separate from my main C: drive.

If you can up your specs so that FSX will run in Full mode with all sliders at max, you would see quite a difference.

PS - delete the ... too ... from the start of my second sentence!
