2 Copies of IE Opens everytime a click on link

I'm running XP Pro with SP1 and every time I click on the shortcut for IE another copy of it opens and directs me to a pornographic website which is both annoying adn embarassing. I've used various programs such as AD-Aware, Spybot and Browser Hi-Jacker Blaster and I have also trudged through the registry with a fine comb but still cannot get rid!

However it doesn't happen everytime - usually about 7 out of 10.

Any ideas any1 please?

I've seen something similar before on one of our user's PC's... Does the site that loads up have a title of "Teen sex". Mostly a blue screen with German content?
If so, then it's a takeover of your HOSTS file... In XP, the file is in C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc.
Open it up in notepad/edit and delete all of the entries that end in the same numbers/sites.
You can protect the file in future by setting the file to "Read only"
