Could I ask any users of 19" Monitors what settings they use as I seem to have to 'jig' mine about and then try to re-shape images.
Any help appreciated.

I use mine at 1024 x 768 with a refresh rate of 100 Hz.

Thanks ton, I give that a try.

You are lucky if you do not suffer from flickering at 75MHz refresh rate - for the vast majority of monitor users a setting of 85MHz is necessary (suitable) to avoid it.

You must have to keep rubbing your eyes...:-)

The resolution you set your monitor at should be the one that you feel most comfortable with - normally younger people can get away with far higher resolution settings i.e. smaller text than old fogies (like me!).

But, because of the nature of the way a monitor (or TV) works, a refresh rate of at least 85MHz should be enabled; however, going much higher than this is not necessary and, in some cases, your graphics card may not support such higher refresh rates or, equally, high resolutions.
