1. Auto connect on startup. 2. Single-click

After a decade of computing and even self-building, I am continually amazed by the still-ultra-long list of apparently bog-simple things I have yet to figure out.

1. I still can't figure out why, when I click on my connection icon, the dial-up box appears, asking me to "connect"--when I know most systems connect directly.

2. I still can't figure out why, at startup, my system dials up automatically. There is nothing in msconfig, and nothing in the Startup Folder--so where is the little bugger hiding?

Any help out there?
