Wii internet connection problem

  MTBmeister 14:56 19 Sep 2008

Having had a Wii for a month or so now, I can't log onto the internet through it.

I would really appreciate some advice, however basic or advanced.

My system set up is as follows:

A wired system AOL broadband to modem (BT Voyager 105 USB) to back of PC.
Wii LAN Adapter (Official) via ethernet cable to port on back of PC.

This is what the manuals say should work, but it doesn't.

I have tried bridging 2 conections but it now says that the network cable is unplugged. This is annoying the hell out of me now.

Any thoughts?????

Have you enabled ICS on your PC? But you'll have to leave your PC on all the time in order to let the WII to go online.

I reckon the best bet is to get this click here and you can either use it for wirelessly connection or if you're not keen on it then just plug the ethernet cable in for wired connection.

Thanks people for your suggestions so far...

I've followed the Network Setup Wizard as suggested and although it says my local area connection is connected (for the time being!), the Wii still doesn't respond. I get a few different error codes, the main one being 51420. I am reluctant to get a separate modem router if I can sort this out another way!!

Back over to you...
