PC Crashing when running Video Games

This is my eternal problem:

Before I had one I played GTA 5 and Planetside 2 on a Gtx 970 which I recently bought. After some time I realized that playing these games (high demanding games) lead to the crashing of my PC after some time when playing. The screen goes black, the sound of the game carries on for 2 seconds but then nothing. This forces me to restart my PC every time this happens. Its sad really :(. I want to play the Witcher 3 but my PC keeps crashing :/.

By the way. Here are my specs:

**GTX 970 Twin Froz, Intel i5-4670 (3.40 GHz), 8GB RAM storage, 64 bit OS, GIGABYTE Z97P-D3 Motherboard,

That is most likely not it since all games used to work fine before the crashing. Same hardware.

Did you ever find out what was wrong? I'm having a similar issue and my set up is pretty damn close to yours.

I'm starting to think it's the 970s... But someone else suggested it could be a PSU related issue.

Nah man. Still searching. I recently downloaded the MSI afterburner to supply more voltage to my GPU. I dk if it will help but I will give it a go
