Help a newbie choose a gaming desktop

Hello everyone,

I'm a complete newbie looking to purchase a gaming desktop. The ONLY games I'll be playing are The Sims 4 (with most of the expansion packs) and Planet Zoo when it's released Nov 5th. I'll most likely use it for basic web browsing as well. The recommended specs for Planet Zoo (which I believe are higher than those for Sims 4) are as follows:

  • Windows 10 64 bit
  • Intel i7 4770 / AMD Ryzen 5 1600
  • 16GB RAM
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 8GB / AMD Radeon RX580

I want to find the cheapest option possible, but my max budget is $1000.

Again, I know nothing about computers as far as specs go, so please bear with me as I don't understand a lot of the lingo or what to look for. I see on a lot of these forums, people suggest building your own... I find that somewhat intimidating. I'd rather just purchase a pre-built desktop, unless it is THAT much cheaper to build one.

Any advice/input will be very much appreciated! Thank you!

Specs looks good and you may get its under $1000. Also, do check if you are getting SSD with this setup. Atleast 258GB SSD and 1TB HDD is good to start. If you have money left then invest in good chair to play game. You won't regret it. Normal chairs with no head support doesn't go well with gaming setup.
