Advice on purchasing a gaming laptop

  Bob Beach 10:44 08 Jan 2017

I have been looking at these 2 laptops the OMEN by HP 15-ax000na Gaming Laptop £899 or the ASUS Republic of Gamers GL55-2VX 15.6" Gaming Laptop - Black £799 reduced from £899

I have noticed a few different specs with graphic cards and hard drives .

I know nothing about these things but by the looks the Omen is the better buy or for the cost the Asus?

Any simple easy advice would be greatly appreciated

Comparing both via Amazon,

HP omen

The Omen has a slightly better dedicated GPU, click here .

Seems that particular Omen is out of stock except on HP's site at £899. The ASUS is a lot cheaper but the graphics is lower. It looks as if you need to fork out for the NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 965M card if you want it. Good luck.

For Gaming in my opinion you should go for a ergonomic computer. with good keyboard/joystick design not just the one size fits all designs. As far as eyes , neck are concerned there are these newly designed monitor stands. Google them and you will find many. For reference one of them is click here, to give you an idea. HTH
