What spec PC for streaming internet video ?

Is there currently any need for a high performance PC to watch streaming internet video or is the internet the limiting factor ?

I was wondering if an expensive graphics card will make any difference at all compared to a very basic cheap graphics card, (in a P4 3Ghz 512MB machine) when watching the internet streaming video that is currently available at sites such as the BBC etc. ?

A basic graphic card will be perfectly fine for streaming video. An expensive graphics card mainly really benefit 3d games.

Even onboard graphics is fine for video
