wanted cheap and cheerful camera

am a bit long in the tooth for all the bells/ whistles. My fuji 2600 has expired and i would like to replace it with a small slip in your pocket 3mpix point and shoot . I havnt got a lot to spend and i was looking at online auction actually. Has anyone got a favourite that would suit

Apart from the big brand names products now being available at remarkably low prices, shopping channels such as QVC and Ideal feature keenly priced Vivitar models.

Vivitar was a respected supplier of camera lenses for many years (I have one myself), but I'm not sure if it's the same company or if the brand name was acquired. See:

of cheap generic cameras - badged in their name to fill the low end of their list.
This is why I tend to recommend a peek at sites like Morgan, who specialize in selling discontinued lines at good prices.
A well regarded discontinued item at a reduced price is better in my view than something up todate but cheap.
