Is it good and what would you think better for £160. Camera must be compact.

Thank you.

Thanks I've read them and some. I was hoping for some camera buffs in here to give me their 2p's worth in layman's terms.

I'd like high flash recycle time, compact body, at least 4x zoom, wide angle and image stabilisation.

Camera will be used for snapping the kids at home, out and about, their birthday parties and a few bits of scenery out on day trips....

Currently using an A720is Canon and it's too bulky and slow. I did own a Sony W55 which was the camera before this and thought it was an excellent P&S.

I'm now thinking the w130 as I can get it for £115 which is £50 cheaper than the w170 and is more compact.

Looks as though both are discontinued?

A very good site for camers reviews

Discontinued w170 and w130? They were just released a few months back.

Anyway I bought the w130 in black for £113.99. Such a tiny little P&S, and the smile shutter is very good for taking pics of the wee one.

Quite right the W130 was introduced in April 2008 and has a 5 Star rating all round.
I was looking at the W70 and W30 which were good cameras but withdrawn some time ago.
Once again apologies. It will teach me to be more careful next time.

How I managed to get it for £113.99 =

Jessops online price is £130 add the voucher CAMERAS10 takes it to £117, took printout to a different branch of Currys, than my local one, and they sold me it for £113.99.
