I have a quickly taken photo that needs rotation to cure a slant on the horizontal aspect. Unfortunately and inevitably this results in the frame not being filled, and cropping so that it is may cut a bit of the picture that is needed, I know that some distortion would arise, but I’m curious to know if there is a way to manipulate the rotated image by stretching or compressing, so that the frame is filled.
I use Serif Photplus, which is simaliar to the Photoshop ekements
A reasonable image editor will allow some tricks. Those of Serif or Photo shop Elements or as in my case Paint Shop pro. The broad idea is this. Create a New image - i.e a blank page. Now open the image to be treated and rotate it and save as[so as to preserve the original-you are bound to muck a few attempts up] go to Edit select and right click cut, Go now to the new blank page and go to edit and paste. With luck using the clone tool add image to the areas that will be affected by the crop -it is better to do this at as large a magnification as you can manage. Now scroll back down and apply the crop tool Did you get enough to do it? Try again- several times - Its OK there is nothing on TV to night[This week!] worth looking at -you have lots of time to practice.
