Moto G (3rd edition) running Marshmallow

  aphrodite42 14:14 20 Jul 2017

I resisted upgrading from Android 5 to 6 (Marshmallow) for a long time but recently took the step. Struggled to be able to use my SD card as I used to but it seems you can no longer transfer apps from phone to SD unless you format the card as Internal which in itself has drawbacks. I use my phone for taking lots of photos which I store on the SD card but when I try to transfer to my PC Windows Explorer cannot see the SD card. What is the procedure to be able to do as I used to with Lollipop?

This should solve your issue.

click here default newer versions of Android do charging only when a cable is connected. I'm running Nougat on a 4th gen G and have to swipe down to display options then choose transfer files each time I connect my PC.

Apologies for the format of my last post, somehow things are displaying rearranged.

The link is still valid however and following those steps should solve your issue.
