Hi def tv and communal arial

I share my sky tv signal via a communal arial, so would I be able have a sky hd box if it needs two cables from the dish to the box when I have no way of changing the dish or adding an extra cable? would I still get the hi def signal via my current single cable if I only connected it to the sky hd box?

The Sky+ box (the one with the HD only requires two cables to be able to view one channel and record a different one. It will work just fine as a *single channel* device with only one cable attached.

While my son is away, I have his Sky+ box on my single cable system - and it*s working just fine.

I believe a new box will be required for High Def. transmissions.

I also believe that an additional subscription will be payable!
