Harmonising address books on platforms

  john bunyan 20:17 15 Feb 2020

I have accumulated a variety of e mail and other address books and would like to end up with one. I have Office Outlook 2016 as a platform on my desktop where the original e mail address book for a talk talk POP 3 account showed as “this computer only”. The there is one , not exactly the same (I suspect Imported it ) called Outlook Contacts. These can be used with my Outlook. Com e mail.

Then My laptop only has Office Outlook but that address book is slightly different. When I use e mail on my phone there is yet another address list that updates when I add a new phone contact.

All very messy and confusing. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't bother. The problems of sorting out duplicates will annoy you for months

I use Google contacts and ensure that all my devices are logged into my Google account. This automatically synchronises the contacts across all devices.
