In my c: disk there many files of 'sqmdata01 -sqmdatann'.

What are these ? Can I delete them?

Do you use windows messenger?

Sounds like files related to that (do they have .sqm extension?)

They are safe to delete but will probably come back. There is an opton in messenger to "turn them off", but I don;t use it so can't direct you I'm afraid

Thanks for your suggestion.
Windows messenger is installed but I don't use it.
The extension is .sqm . I am doing to delete them now.

Further to the deletions of these files, copies of these files were created after deletions.i.e.
'Copy of sqmdata01.sqm' etc. !!
How can I get rid of these ?

They are probably created by Windows Live Messenger, as part of the "Customer Experience Improvement Program". Try starting Live Messenger, select 'Tools' / 'Options', then 'General', then untick the 'quality improvement' box to stop it sending info to Microsoft.

The 'quality improvement' box was already unticked
I have deleted the files and monitor the situation..
