Best Free Screen Capture Software?

  bueller 14:30 04 Apr 2007

I would like to create some training videos to place on a website of how to use various software. Basically I want to be able to record what I can see on my PC screen plus be able to add my voice over using a PC mike.

I have looked at Camtasia but wondered if there is a good free alternative out there that someone can recommend?

Recording the video aspect and then the sound is the best way to go. Most of these screen recorders will require you to make it and if it is wrong start again. If you use 2 programs you can concentrate on using the video recorder to get it right, then recording the sound in time to the video actions and split it up if you get it wrong. Then put it all together with the movie maker and make it look professional.

That would be how I would do it.
