Android Security Question (Web Browser)

Hi everyone.

I have a security question regarding my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge.

Today I was Google'ing a twitter page using the Samsung Internet Browser and due to laziness I accidentally clicked on a fake link to a twitter profile by mistake and the page tried to take me to a site based at instead of twitter.

The browser came up with a big red exclamation point and gave me this message:

"Your connection is not private" "Attackers might be trying to steal your information from (for example, passwords, messages or credit cards). "NET::ERRCERTCOMMONNAMEINVALID

It had 2 options at the bottom of the page, "Back to safety" and "Advanced".

I clicked on back to safety.

I then went to a URL checking website on my PC and it told me that this website does contain malware and phishing.

My question is, did the Samsung Internet Browser fully protect me in this instance or is it possible that my accounts / data on my phone were compromised and should I go change my passwords etc?

Thank you for any help!

It is unlikely that your security has been compromised, but it would make sense to change passwords to sensitive information - banking etc.
