which pci video card to buy

ok im in sheer need of help, i need to noe which pci video card to buy for my emachines, it has an intel celeron 330-2.66ghz, 512mb ram, 80 gbs, and a 5200 fx evga video card and i need to upgrade

Thats probably the best card you will get to fit in a PCI slot but its very expensive for what it is, the 128mb standard cards start from about the £40 mark.

You won't find much better than that FX5200 you already have. There is a 6200 PCI (versions by 3D Fusion and BFG), but they both use a 64 bit memory interface, and aren't much cop.

Btw, the 5200 and the 5500 are nigh on the same!

o welli heard about the 6200 pci bfg its overclocked(not verymuch) and it has 256mb, and it comes with a traffic cop thing, i need an upgrade cause i overclocked my vid card and fried it once, or somefin happened and then i used my intgrated graohics and then underclocked it and it worked

Well, given the low performance of these cards, it won't make any difference whether they have 128 or 256MB, and that 10 MHz "overclock" won't make any difference at all. Looks as if no-one bothers benchmarking PCI cards any more, either.......
