What do you think of this system?

I have been having a bit of a look round and came up with this once on Cougar Systems after following forum advice:

Home Office Intel Core 2 Duo (Intel Core 2 Duo E4500 2.20 GHz 2Mb Cache, 2GB Kingston DDR2 667 - 2 x 1GB, 250Gb SATA Hard Drive, , , , 512Mb 8600GT Nvidia DDR DVI, C2D - ASROCK CONROE 1333fsb-DDR667x2 integrated motherboard, DVD+/- RW - 18X Samsung Lightscribe, No Floppy Disk Drive, 17 inch Hanns Star Monitor widescreen, Keyboard & Mouse Set Black and Silver, Integrated Sound Card, Intergrated Monitor Speakers, , Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Inc SP2, No Additional Software, , 13 Month Warranty, Free Carriage) (remove)

I want a pc I can build web pages on using a html editor and also being able to run Adobe creative suite. Would this do the trick?
Any opinions and advice gratefully received.

As you have chosen a separate graphics card with its own built in memory, you don't need an integrated motherboard. Secondly your chosen motherboard only has two memory slots so any further increase in RAM would need you to discard your 1GB sticks replacing them with larger sticks.

I would go for the Gygabyte GA-P35-DS3L motherboard and a larger screen monitor.

Also consider these 2 Dell Vostro 200 MTs with XP Pro (XP, as you seem to prefer it). Both have the following in common: 2Gb RAM, 500GB hard drive, integrated graphics, DVD+rw drive, keyboard+mouse, XP Pro (this needs to be selected manually) & 1-year warranty.

Go through Quidco to get 5% cashback click here.

1. 200 MT I click here - configured to E4500 / XP Pro / 19" TFT with DVI, TrueLife & height-adjustable = 340, or £325 with cashback

2. 200 MT II click here - configured to E6550 / XP Pro / 20" with DVI, TrueLife & height-adjustable = £398, or £381 with cashback

If you'd prefer a QUAD-core PC: Vostro 400 MT click here - with 250Gb hard drive & 19" TFT with DVI, TrueLife & height-adjustable. Select XP Pro = £410, or £393 with cashback

I would then add the following to any of the above:
• 2Gb RAM = £27 delivered from click here
• PowerColor HD 3650 512MB DDR2* = £47 delivered from click here (choose cheapest Super Saver delivery at checkout)

Grand Totals (incl cashback & upgrades) = £399, £455 & 467 respectively.

Dell deals keep changing ever so often, but similar ones keep popping up. G
