What 17" flat sreen monitor to buy

  14all 14:23 05 Jul 2003

I now tend to concentrate on building websites and digital photography had decided to buy a 17" flat screen monitor a Mitisubishi Diamond Pro 740 or 750 SB, but on a final check through the specification I found that their Naviset software is not supported by win 98 or ME.

As I've had enough of specifications to last me a life time, could one or two of you guys give me some ideas of what monitors you are using and how they are performing.

Just bought a IIYAMA ProLite E430S which is SUPERB and has built-in speakers as well.

Also was considering to get a Samsung 191T which is 19" TFT but coudl not justify the price of £579.

Bought the IIyama from PC World for £379.

By the way the IIYAMA has a 3-year warranty

I have a Sharp 17in which has incorporated speakers and I am very happy with. Price £345 including vat from Mesh

17" TFT, brilliant display, very happy with my choice. Sharp clear text, graphics, and deep colours. Excellent for games and movies. £320.00 j.

I also have a Samsung Syncmaster 171s and agree with antoni34 - it's brilliant.

Even more brilliant - it cost me £299.99 at PC World in April this year.

Thanks a lot for your replies I will taking your compiled list out with me during this week, as I been having some right old duff advice off sales staff.

Also armed with recommendations, I can try the net.

I want to use system with two monitors for video editing, and I would like them to have thin, very thin edges, so that I can position them next to each other in order to create illusion of uninterrupted desktop .Do you know for such a model?

"Gents", there are ladies out here too you know LOL
