I have just taken delivery of a Time Platina computer which insists you use Supanet for an ISP. When I try to load AOL "the modem was unable to make connection". Phoning AOL I was given the usual modem checks which seemed OK but when a hyperterminal is set up numbers will not connect. Numbers can be dialed from Outlook OK.

The modem is listed as CNXT PCI V9x modem on com3

any suggestions to force the modem to allow me to use OAL please

Dont think you can the modem is a dedicated one for Supanet.
It is not very clear in their adverts that you can only use Supanet with this modem and if you want to use any other isp apparantly you have to buy another modem.
