Is there a good printer for card making?

Does anyone know of a good printer for card making. Factors to consider are: printer cost, reasonable image quality, ink costs, ink type and quality for cards, ease of feeding.
Also it would be useful to find paper sources, envelope sources, clear coverings.
I only want to do short print runs to put a few, but varied cards into a local card shop.
I have software to create the cards ie Photoshop 5

Any current printer on the market today would do the job.

I have 3 Epson printers and all are very economical with consumables. I get my ink, paper etc. from Choice Stationery at click here

I also sometimes get special paper from Paper Direct (quite expensive, but very effective) click here

If I am using very thick card I tend to feed it one sheet at a time though. HP printers are not very good at this because the paper path has to do a 180 degree turn.
