Terratec Aureon 5.1 USB External sound card?

Would anyone recommend this product?
I'm looking for an external sound card with microphone and headphone inputs which'll be good quality for recording. However I don't really want to spend more than £50 because this'll just be a replacement for the fact that the mic&headphone inputs on my computer have been damaged internally and are therefore unusable.
The Terratec Aureon 5.1 is the one that seems to be most recommended, but I'm not sure if it's good for the job I'm looking to use it for.
If anyone could recommend that, or something better for the task I'd be extremely grateful! Thanks [:

If all you want to do is replace the onboard microphohne and headphone ports then this will do fine. Most PCs dont have that posh a sound system on board. If you dont want to spend a lot buy the 32bit PCI sound card at maplins £15 I believe, got one myself for the same reason. Works a charm for music and phone calls.
