Synchronising audio and video

This is driving me nuts. Pinnacle TV card, displayed video is out of sync with the sound even when watching live TV, seems worse when TV is recorded and played back. Audio is 1/2 to 1 second ahead of picture. CPU usage is less than 30% and stacks of free RAM (according to Task Manager), AMD 2400+ and Radeon 9600 graphics card so system should be fast enough. Tried several software packages but all seem similar. Can the received audio be slowed through the sound card to compensate?

You need to get the latest Studio to fix it.

Thanks for responses. Problem resolved - software uninstalled, TV card removed and given to a friend. At least he was a friend when I gave it to him............

SEASHANTY. Although this thread is closed I would like to say that my sync problem is now solved. I bought MyDVD and now do not use Pinnacle software at all.

That was why I referenced the thread - because they
both involved Pinnacle. Glad to hear that Sonic's My DVD works OK. I have a copy of that around somewhere
which I purchased cheaply from SVP Communications -
more commonly known as Blankdiscshop.
