i need a sub £250 netbook as a back up/travelling pc and was wondering if anyone knows of any especially good deals or has particular recommendations.
I would be good if windows 7, and had an hdmi socket. The samsung range look pretty good- any ideas please. Ta

the Acer Aspire One D260.

You should be able to pick one up for under £250, and it's well worth the price, in my opinion.

Netbooks do not have CD/DVD drives installed. You can connect an external one ( about £20 to £30 ) via a USB socket. As FE says, Acer are very good as are Samsung ( I have a new N250 plus ).
