SIS chipsets, Good or Bad?

It used to be that you wouldn't touch a PC with a SIS chipset with a barge poll, However more and more manufacturers are using them in there new motherboards. Can anyone tell me if SIS have finally got there act together and are making decent stuff or should I still be keeping well clear of anything with SIS stamped on it?

Regards, Simon

I have a SIS648 chipset on a MSI m/b in my Medion PC. It has been running 24/7 for the last 3 months since I purchased it. No problems whatsoever. I think SIS chipsets are among the best the market has to offer these days.

Regards,

James.

Read the articles on chipsets and motherboards at this website. SIS are on their way towards becoming a major player in the Pentium 4 motherboard chipset market.
