Searching on Ebay so slow

  newface 16:08 14 Nov 2008

I have been having a lot of problems with Ebay recently. I can log onto it it reasonably quickly, but if I want to try and search for an item the system just seems to stop. Today I tried to search for some laser toners, I have waited for 30 mins and nothing has come back. I usually use Firefox, but Internet Explorer is just as bad. Could the problem be because I had a query over some dodgy software I bought via Ebay and raised an issue with them?
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

the site varies one hell of a lot throughout the day and from day to day. one time it is quick another it just crawls.

I just did a search using Opera and it came back in nano second with 1300 results. Have you tried searching without logging on.

Thanx for replies. Barmoor I'll try your suggestion. I know that the response can depend on the number of other users on the system and also how much traffic is going acroos the broadband, but I have been able to get onto PC Advisor and other sites with no other problems today. It must just be Ebay!!
