script error notification pop ups

  Peter Hayes 12:33 14 Apr 2017

when I sign on to the internet, a script error notification box appears on the home page, and every subsequent page after. its annoying because the page will not load while this is on. I have been told to make sure the box to enable script debugging is checked in the internet options, and it is. so how do I stop it appearing. I am not really savvy with computers being a pensioner. I am so frustrated with it. help please. thank you.

You've got it the wrong way round.

The web page won't load because of a script error, therefor the Box appears

Peter, this should fix your problem:

Go into Internet Options, click the "Advanced" tab then the "Reset" button. Do not tick the box to delete your personal settings. Click the "Reset" button then restart your computer when it's finished.

Part of the reset process is to disable most of your add-ons, so when your computer restarts go into Control Panel -> Internet Options -> "Programs" tab -> "Manage Add-ons" button then enable all the add-ons you know that you need (such as those that belong to your anti-virus software etc).
