SATA Harddrive

I have a ps3 and want to upgrade the hard drive, so would like to purchase a sata 2.5 hard drive and a enclosure to go with it.

Does anyone know some good shops to purchase from retail outlets, preferably in the hertfordshire area - but any advice would be helpful?

See if there's a Maplins near you click here. If not, why not just use Amazon, Dabs or similar?

I bought a 320GB hard drive and enclosure from eBuyer for under £50. Ordered Saturday, delivered Monday.

If you must buy from a retailer, PC World have all you need, but check stock on line before travelling and reserve online to get best prices. even then it'll be more expensive than the specialist internet traders like eBuyer

If the drive is going to be connected to your PS3 via an enclosure, wouldn't it be cheaper to get a standard-sized 3.5" drive + enclosure or standard 3.5" external drive? Or, you could get a higher capacity drive for the same money. Ignore this if you're going for the 2.5" option for convenience sake.

click here for a guide to preparing the drive to be used with a PS3. G
