Sat nav Software on Palm TX

  Ritchdav 11:03 21 Nov 2008

I have a Palm TX and run TomTom 5 sat nav software. V5 is no longer supported by Tom Tom and Palm do not make PDAs with the Palm OS anymore. Can I run Tom Tom 6 on the TX? Smiler in other forum says he does so OK. Tom Tom say it won't work and so does a support team at my PDA vendor. Is it still working OK Smiler and does anyone else have info to help me? I do not want to "junk" £350 of equipment and buy a stand alone Sat Nav if I don't have to.

If TomTom say NO, then probably it won`t.

Received Tom Tom 6 software after contacting Smiler. TT6 loaded OK on my Palm TX and it works very well!
Only problem with Tom Tom is that there will be no further map updates on TT6 which will mean buying TT7 to be really up to date. Why do Tom Tom make customers buy new software as well as maps......gets them more cash I guess!
