Recording phone calls to PC

Can anyone recommend equipment/software (not too expensive) for recording phone calls to PC?

In case you're wondering about the legality of this, I can assure you it's for perfectly legal purposes!

Many thanks,

and I'm sure it is.

You should however be aware that if you intend to make the contents of any recorded conversation available to a third party you must, by law, notify the other party (to the call) that you intend to record the conversation, and you must do this BEFORE the conversation begins.

Is there a difference if someone records a conversation you have with them in person rather than on the phone? Do they still need to inform you beforehand that they are going to record the conversation or can they do so anyway?
