Recommend a good Vista compatible soundcard?

  Anon-267277 09:55 09 May 2007

I'm nearing the end of my tether trying to get my Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2 card to work with Vista.

I've tried using the appropriate Vista drivers from Creative and I've tried disabling the onboard sound.

I've also read through numerous forums looking for an answer, but without any joy.

The problem is that the sound works, but every 45 seconds or so it stutters. This interrupts watching the tv, listening to mp3s and gameplay - so it's effectively crippling the media entertainment end of my pc.

So unless anybody has any great solutions, can somebody recommend an alternative soundcard?

You could try Auzentech. They are supposed to be Vista compatible but you might want to hang on a bit as Creative have just posted an update to their progress on their forum. click here
