opinions: Hauppage DEC2000-t DigitalTV reciever?

Has anyone got the Hauppage DEC2000-t digital tv reciever that you can plug into both your TV and Computer? the magazines I've seen it in give it great reviews but all the comments I've seen by anyone that's bought it are negative, when using it with a computer at least. You think magazines reccomend it so I'm not gonna be buying a piece of crap then you hear all this stuff about the thing freezing up and taking 15mins to change channel etc, its confusing.

Also does anyone know if your details are passed on to the tv license people like when you buy a tv? cos I know they dont (or didnt) pass them on when you bought a tv card, cos there's also the DEC1000-t model just for computer.
