Has anyone any experience of One.Tels current offer - £13.99 per month unlimited landline calls ? Thanks.

I only use them for cheap international calls. Been doing so for over a year and have had no complaints.

Check out the exclusions in the small print (if you can see it). Calls to mobiles and 0845 numbers, etc. are not included in the offer and different rates apply to them.

Ah - thanks Hazlitt - thought there must be a catch somewhere - I knew about mobiles being excluded, but its the exclusion of 0845 - ie dial up internet thats the problem with this offer.

It depends entirely on how many local and national calls you would normally make during any particular month - you still have to pay BT for the landline...

Regarding the 0845 calls, ISPs use this prefix as it takes a percentage of the call charge on Pay as you Go services; that's how they make some of their profits.

One-Tel therefore would obviously not sanction the use of such numbers for this purpose as it would be losing income.

Above should read: "ISPs use this prefix as they take a percentage of the call charge..."
